New album by Zui, featuring American, Japan resident, shakuhachi player Bruce Huebner and long time collaborator jazz electric guitarist Tomoyo Hara plus Saori Sendo (percussion) and Mark Turian (bass). Shakuhachi plus electric guitar sounds like an unlikely pairing but the chemistry between the pair is clear to hear. Added to the jazz, blues mix are some Brazilian rhythms. Mix of original and famous Japanese folk and pop tunes.
