Volume 2 from locally known singer in Yaeyama, Yoshihiro Higashitakanishi. Many little performed songs from a group of islands with a rich musical history. Yaeyama music has close connections to Taiwan and Southeast Asia, the repertoire mainly working songs that evolved from working in the fields or at sea or songs used at religious ceremonies.
