Modern Irish Project are currently Japan's best Irish music band. They were formed by Aiko Obuchi (fiddle, mandolin, vocals), Koji Nagano (guitar, banjo) and Tomosuke Tajima (drums, percussion) in 2007, performing at Irish pubs and bars regulary around Tokyo. They tour the Kansai area every year where they have also gained a lot of fans.
