Kaneko Ayano's band, Kanekoayano, release their first full-length album in about two years and their first since adopting the band name Kanekoayano in August 2024. After a year of pre-production with band members Hirotoshi Hayashi (guitar) and Takuya Iizuka (bass), they added drummer Sei Nagahata and percussionist Ryotaro Miyasaka as support members, and recorded all the songs in about two weeks as a five-piece band. The 10 tracks, including re-recordings of 'Lucky' and 'Not Lonely' continue the folky aspects that are characteristic of Kaneko Ayano's work, but with a significantly increased degree of freedom in arrangement. Psychedelic songs are even more psychedelic, and songs that approach Krautrock and dub have evolved and deepened to be more experimental, with congas and steelpans woven in, painting various landscapes with each song. More than ever before, the individuality of each member is reflected in the songs, making this a very band-like work. The jacket artwork was specially drawn by artist TIDE.
