Paul Mauriat was a French orchestra leader, known for a light orchestral easy listening style. Before he died in 2006 he was something of a cult figure in Japan, even giving his final performance there. Takkyu Ishino is one of Japan's leading dj's, who came to prominence as one half of techno pioneers Denki Groove. Since then he has developed his sound into a minimal cutting edge electronic blend and he is also behind the WIRE rave in Tokyo that invites dj's from around the world. He has gained an enviable reputation in Europe, working with local artists and performing at European festivals and events. On this album, Ishino remixes classic material of Paul Mauriat into something completely different, but decidedly cool.
