To celebrate the 80th birthday of the genius pianist Keith Jarrett, his monumental six-disc album "Sun Bear Concerts," recorded in Japan, is now available for the first time in SHM-SACD format. Features: First SHM-SACD Release / Newly Written Liner Notes / Uses the 2017 DSD Master by ECM Records (Germany). Originally released as a ten-LP box set in 1976, this collection features solo piano concerts performed during Jarrett's Japan tour, accompanied by producer Manfred Eicher. Among the eight concerts, five performances from Kyoto (Kyoto Kaikan Hall), Osaka (Sankei Hall), Nagoya (Aichi Prefectural Arts Theater), Tokyo (Nakano Sun Plaza), and Sapporo (Welfare Pension Hall) are each included on a single disc, while the sixth disc compiles encore performances from Sapporo, Tokyo, and Nagoya.
