Product Description
First album for five years from daughter of Ryuichi Sakamoto who has been busy as both a musician and campaigner in recent years. She worked with three well known producers, Naotaro Moriyama, Goro Ito, and Marihiko Hara. Tracks produced by Naotaro Moriyama consist primarily of songs he wrote and composed. Those produced by Goro Ito include original material alongside a cover of Virginia Astleys 1986 'Some Small Hope' (originally produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto). Tracks produced by Marihiko Hara ( who she collaborated with on the theme to the film 'Kokuho' include Lullaby (the theme song for the animated film 'Moshi, Korekara Umareru no Nara / If I Were to Be Born Now', and and a musical setting to the poem 'If I Must Die' written by Refaat Alareer, a university professor and poet in Gaza who was killed in an Israeli airstrike. The album concludes with a cover of 'Seiyakyoku' (Quiet Night Song), originally produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto for Chitose Hajimes 2008 album 'Cassini'. This track pairs Ryuichi Sakamotos original piano performance from the 2008 recording with Miu Sakamotos vocals. The album title, signifies her desire to find unshakable truth in a world of deceit and lies.
