Female singer from Amami Oshima, who owns a restaurant on the island as well, where young singers such as Rikki and Kousuke Atari used to perform. Nishi has a deep voice, and on this CD performs with young male singer Shingo Maeyama who plays sanshin and sings hayashi, and Shunzo Tsukiji, a veteran male singer and Chie Mori, a 90 year old female singer.
