Product Description

New edition of Yukihiro Takahashi's first album from 1978, with newly recorded vocal part, new mix and mastering. Good condition original multi track tapes allowed Takahashi to record the vocal part again, in his current vocal style. Listening to the original vocals, Takahashi could sense a young him (aged 26) perhaps trying to sound older, even a bit like Haruomi Hosono who he was listening to at lot at the time. The album is significant in that it featured members of Takahashi's band at the time, Sadistic Mika Band (Kazuhiko Kato) Tin Pan Alley (Shigeru Suzuki) plus Haruomi Hosono and Ryuichi Sakamoto, who he would soon record with as Yellow Magic Orchestra. Sakamoto co-produced and arranged the album. Also features Tatsuro Yamashita, Minako Yoshida and other leading city pop figures at the time. The album itself, named after a French record label, is based on French pop music. Newly mastered by Yoshinori Sunahara, jacket design by Tei Towa.
