Piri, is the Korean double reed bamboo oboe, and Park Bum-Hoon is one of the great players and composers who established the sanjo style of piri. Sanjo is a genre of traditional Korean folk music, involving an instrumental solo accompanied by drumming on the Janggu, an hourglass-shaped drum. Piri is used in both folk and classical court music. From solo to trio, concluding with a mesmerizing shinawi shaman piece.
