2 CD set of new recordings to mark the 60th birthday of Makoto Ozone, covering both classical and jazz. His first solo complete piano album for 13 years. On the classical side, he plays Mozart, Ravel and Prokofiev, interwoven with improvisation. On CD2, titled 'Songs' are nine, mainly new pieces, including some recorded separately on Steinway and Yamaha pianos, and put together as improvisational performances for two pianos.
