From Shizuoka, Mikita Hase began playing taiko aged eight. After forming and playing in the Taiko ensemble Yo-Soro, he went on to join taiko pioneer Eitetsu Hayashi's ensemble in 2000 touring around the world. He has collaborated with various artists such as Kisei Okura (kyogen), Hiromitsu Agatsuma (Tsugaru shamisen), Masaki Hayashi (jazz piano) and others. On this album guests include Nobuto Yamanaka (shamisen), Akito Kohama (shakuhachi), Michiko Yamada (shinobue), Masaki Hayashi (piano) and Hiroyuki Okada from Yo-Soro (taiko).
