Product Description

The okraulo is a flute derived from the shakuhachi, keyed like a concert flute, and invented by Baron Okura (Kihachiro Okura, 1882-1963) in 1935. The sound of the okraulo is revived on this album played by shakuhachi player Akihisa Kominato playing an instrument made in 1935. Accomapnied and arranged by piano player Shuhei Hosaka who also wrote some tracks on this album.
