Product Description
Originally released in 1973, a brilliant record that combines Japanese minyo, or local folk songs, with Latin music. Miyako Otsuki is still active as an enka singer and recorded this album in her twenties. This record was made during the time when groups such as Nobuo Hara and Sharps & Flats and Tokyo Cuban Boys were at their peak. This album features many great musicians including Akira Miyazawa on flute, Keisuke Eguchi on piano, Nagamasa Harada on bass, Sadanori Nakamure on guitar, Shigeaki Ikeno on organ, and the Segami Yonosuke Group, with arrangements by Akira Komachi who worked with many artists at the time. Includes two tracks, Sankaibushi and Hanagasa Ondo, which were on the CD reissue in 1997, but not on the original vinyl.
