Mandalay Star is a Japanese film, although this isn't a soundtrack, but an album by the featured musicians. Hsiang Waing is a traditional Burmese ensemble featuring various gongs, drums, hne (double reed pipe) pat waing (circle drum) kyi waing (small gongs), chauk lon pat (tuned drums) and in this case the singer Pone Nyet Phu. Exceptional recording of music, characterised by it's sudden shifts in tempo and melody. 8 tracks.
