Music from the tiny Okinawan, Yaeyama island of Kuroshima, where the population is only about 220. This is the first album of traditional songs from this island. Features Kuroshima Shinsei Takana, who played on an album of traditional wedding songs released on the same Respect Record label in 2024. Includes some songs from other Yaeyama islands. Mainly work and celebration songs.
