Music from Siem Reap and the surrounding area close to the Thai border, Khmer Surin music originated with the Khmer communities of present day northeast Thailand. Sman Chhai and Phim Pha are two artists currently helping to keep this lively roots country style alive. The Cambodian version of kantrum music with similarities to morlam. Mix of slow and fast tracks.
