Beautiful evocative album of kayagum sanjo played by Ji Aeri. Sanjo is a genre of music, in which a traditional instrument is accompanied by the janggu, an hour-glass shaped drum. This is an album of the Sung Gum-yeon style, perhaps the most outstanding of the kayagum sanjos'. Down the years, sanjo was not written down, but passed from teacher to pupil, who would often add their own ideas. Kayagum sanjo has never sounded as good as on this superbly recorded album.
