April featured the Opening Ceremony April Grand Kabuki. Featured plays were:

The cast includes Kataoka Nizaemon, Bandô Tamasaburô, Onoe Kikugorô, Sakata Tôjûrô, Nakamura Kichiemon, Matsumoto Kôshirô, Bandô Mitsugorô, Nakamura Hashinosuke, Nakamura Kanjaku, Nakamura Shibajaku, Nakamura Tokizô, Onoe Kikunosuke, Nakamura Baigyoku, Nakamura Kaishun, Nakamura Fukusuke, Nakamura Senjaku, Kataoka Gatô, Ichikawa Sadanji and Ichikawa Danzô.
Special features include footage of the building of the new Kabukiza, a guide to the new Kabukiza, some of the opening ceremonies and an interview with National Tresure Tojuro Sakata. Comes with Japanese subtitles and English commentaries.
The three books, mostly in Japanese, but with some English, feature a list of all the performances and actors written in the special Kabuki font, interviews with Tojuro Sakata, Koshiro Matsumoto, Kichiemon Nakamura, Nizaemon Kataoka, Tamasaburo Bando and Baigyoku Nakamura. There are articles remembering the great actors who passed away in recent years and weren't able to see the new Kabukiza open such as Shikan Nakamura VII, Jakuemon Nakamura IV, Tomijuro Nakamura V, Matagoro Nakamura II, Danjuro Ichikawa XII and Kanzaburo Nakamura XVIII. Also includes interview with Ebizo Ichikawa and Kanzaburo Nakamura remembering Danjuro Ichikawa.
The books contain many photos of performances, plus play guides and synopsis. There are features the new Kabukiza's technology such as lighting, sound and stage design.
