Shun Sakai is a legendary performer from the Japanese jazz and avant-garde scene. Since her first album in 1976, she has lived in Manhattan, New York in the 1980s, returned to Japan and has most recently settled in Saigon, Vietnam. She has delved into her unique set of influences to produce an album of various styles, textures and sounds, performing jazz standards, traditional Japanese songs, a poem reading and one of Indonesia's most famous tunes. She is joined by the 11 piece group The Long Goodbye, who feature several of the most prominent figures in the Japanese jazz and avant-garde scene. Watch the trailer.
