Gei no Shinzui Series- Edo Yukari no Ie no Gei Bando Mitsugoro (The Art of Traditional Performance, Mistugoro Bando - Family Tradition of Edo Kabuki)

Bando Mitsugoro X comes from a long line of great Kabuki actors, who have especially established themselves as masters of Kabuki dance. On this DVD Bando performs a dance long associated with his family, 'Kisen' together with Onoe Kikunosuke VI. 'Ryusei' is a long dance, created by Ichikawa Kodanji IV in 1859, re-created by Mitsugoro VII in 1921 who added contemporary aspects. Accompanied by top singers and musicians from Nagauta and Kiyomoto, performed in Tokyo, August 2012. 117 minutes plus 22 minute interview, colour with Japanese subtitles and booklet in Japanese.
