Eiichi Ohtaki (1948-2013) was a singer/songwriter, who was a member of the group Happy End, but is probably more famous for his work as a solo musician, especially the album A Long Vacation. As a songwriter, he composed what is considered a classic of Kayo Kyoku, Japanese pop music, with the song Yume de Aetara (When we Meet in our Dreams). Originally composed for the singer Ann Lewis, it's most famous versions were by Minako Yoshida in 1976 and Celia Paul in 1977. It has become one of the most covered songs in Japanese pop music. The idea for this album of covers was originally conceived by Eiichi Ohtaki, and has now finally reached fruition with versions ranging from the original by Minako Yoshida in 1976, to another version by her in 2018.
