Excellent CD of gamelan degung, the relatively small group gamelan from western Java. Instruments include the suling (bamboo flute), kendang (double barrelled drum) bonang (gongs) saron (bronze metallophone). Gamelan degung is sometimes used at wedding parties in Sunda, and is often played to accompany women singers.
