Claire de Lune (as it was originally titled) later called Snowflakes are Dancing was Tomita's first album released in 1974, and is of his interpretations of Debussy's late-nineteenth century 'impressionist' tone poems and piano studies. Tomita and this album was nominated for four Grammy awards (unprecedented for a Japanese artist) and won a NARM award for best classical record.
