Another cult group, Friction's main members Reck (vocals, guitar, bass) and Chiko-Hige (drums, sax) became influenced by the burgeoning new wave scene in New York from the mid 70s. On forming Friction they soon attracted a following, drawing comparisons to the Birthday Party. This album, their first, released in 1980 is considered their crowning glory.
