Tomomi Tono is a leading player of the sho, the free reed instrument used in gagaku, an ancient traditional music of Japan. She has played on three of Sakamoto's albums, Gohatto, Out of Noise and Inochi and contributed to the Haruomo Hosono tribute album. Tono has created a performance called Breathing Media, exploring the capability of the sho as a sound media that synchronizes the natural reflex of breathing using sensors that are activated by the sho. On this album she performs one of the greatest gagaku pieces Choshi. Produced by and includes one remix by Sakamoto.

Life- Fluid, Invisible, Inaudble is an istallation by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Shiro Takatani, which was exhibited in Yamaguchi and ICC in 2007. The exhibition was captured on video, recomposed into a new video work and turned into a DVD. The work surrounds the viewer with stereo images and split screen video to create an installation space that reinterprets the original work into a new audio-visual experience.

Tony Takitani, an emotionally impotent techincal illustrator, falls in love with Eiko and feels the joys of life and love for the first time. However her obsession with shopping for brand goods (rather common in Japan!) has tragic consequences. 11 tracks.

Susan is best known for collaborating with members of YMO and gained a cult following in Japan and around the world. Born to a Japanese mother and American father she had a pop and acting career in the 70s before meeting Yukihiro Takahashi of YMO who helped relaunch her career. As well as featuring all three members of YMO, her album 'Do You Believe in Mazik?' had contributions from other luminaries such as Makoto Kubota and Kenji Omura. She was launched in Europe alongside YMO, Sandii & The Sunsetz and Ippu-Do in a campaign called 'Music from the Land of the Rising Sun.' Originally released on LP in 1975, a children's choir sings songs themed around the Ainu, some in the Ainu language with lyrics by Kohei Oikawa, music by Ryuichi Sakamoto, who also arranged the songs together with Tatsuro Yamashita of the legendary group Sugar Babe. 12 songs.

2 CDs, 37 tunes. When YMO were in their heyday, they spawned other techno pop groups and artists influenced by YMO. This CD set features some of those singers and groups from the 1980s and 90s, mostly in a pop vain. Artists include Ikue Sakakibara, Pink Lady, Chika Takami, TPO, Hiromi Ota, Tsugutoshi Goto, Naoto Takenaka, Masato Ibu, Bakufu Slamp and Yoko Minamino.

The Toy Box are a group of twelve musicians and three extra percussionists playing acoustic instruments including sax, melodeon, bandoneon, mandolin, flute, picolo, guitars, cello and piano. Fans of the Yellow Magic Orchestra, they decided to do a cover of YMO's first album, totally acoustically. A bizarre idea, considering this was a classic of synthesized techno-pop, but a project that proves these were great songs in the first place. Adding his stamp of approval is Haruomi Hosono, who does the vocals on two of the tracks.

This is Ryuichi Sakamoto's first solo recording released back in 1976 as an analog record of which only 500 copies were ever pressed. Improvisational duo of Sakamoto on piano with percussionist Toshiyuki Tsuchitori. Digitally remastered.

UK top contemporary classical violinist, Alexander Balanescu records album of Yellow Magic Orchestra favourites. Balanescu has already recorded Kraftwerk tunes, and this is in similar vain. Yukihiro Takahashi is best known as one of the trio (together with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Haruomi Hosono) of seminal technopop group Yellow Magic Orchestra. Before that he was a member of the Sadistic Mika Band, while currently he is together with Hosono again as Sketch Show. After YMO disbanded, Takahashi went solo and this DVD is of a live performance from this time, in August 1983 at Shibuya Kokaido in Tokyo. His collaborators and featured in his band include Bill Nelson, Keiichi Suzuki of the Moon Riders, Hajime Tachibana, David Palmer and Haruomi Hosono.
