Paul Fisher presents Far Side Radio every Wednesday at 12.00 noon UK time, broadacast on Resonance 104.4FM in London and streamed live on the Internet at http://www.resonancefm.com. The show is repeated the following Tuesday morning, at 7.00am UK time. Paul plays CDs mostly available in the Far Side catalogue and this is just about the best way to get a feel and sample the music you'll find within these pages. Paul Fisher has been writing for the world's leading folk, roots and world music magazine, fRoots since he first went to Japan in 1990. Since returning to the UK he still continues to write for fRoots. He has written articles on many of the artists featured in our catalogues, some of which you can read on this web site. He was a music columnist for the Japan Times for several years, and has written for a variety of other Japanese publications, including Latina and the Okinawa Times. He is a contributor to the Rough Guide to World Music, and to music sections of the Lonely Planet.

 

TV

Paul Fisher appeared on a monthly programme on MXTV Tokyo, introducing a Japanese artist who appeared on his compilation album, the Rough Guide to the Music of Japan. He has also coordinated and produced live shoots for Japanese television.
