Yumi Kagura is a old form of kagura - music and dance for the gods. Shigeo Tanaka was a master of the yumi, a kind of bow that aside to firing arrows is a single string percussion instrument. Takusa Saimon based on the myth 'Amo no Iwato' is a mesmeric piece of music deeply rooted in tradition, with the yumi and Tanaka's vocals accompanied by flute and metal percussion. The CD bonus track Inagahachiman Jinja Yumi Kagura Hono was recorded in 2016 by Shigeo Tanaka's daughter, Ritsuko. Comes with English liner notes in 24 page booklet.
