Flower Travellin Band are an influential hard rock outfit who were active in the late 60s and early 70s. They reformed after a 35 year break in 2008. This is a live DVD of the group performing at Hibiya Yagai Ongakudo on October 5th 2008. Disc 1 is live footage and disc 2 is a documentary film.

Moonriders live at Shinjuku, Tokyo in 2006. Moonriders were formed by Keichi Suzuki in 1975 after he had disbanded Hachimitsu Pie. He was joined by other former Hachimitsu Pie members and his brother Hirofumi Suzuki. This live performance was centered around their 1980s period when they were influenced by new wave. 13 tracks.

To celebrate their 20th anniversary, the ever ambitious Boredoms, the Japanese avant-garde rock pioneers performed on the lawn of the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park section of Brooklyn Bridge Park. They invited 77 drummers to perform with them, the free concert turning into a once in a lifetime spectacle

Steve Jansen (ex-Japan) live in Tokyo, 29th Feb.2008. Filmed in High Definition, the concert was one of the musical events of the year in Japan. Steve Jansen on drums, computer programming and keyboards was joined by a stellar cast of like-minded musicians and collaborators from the past and present. Keigo Oyamada (Cornelius) on guitar, Masakatsu Takagi on keyboards and a string quartet led by Seigen Tokuzawa with visuals by Shoko Ise. Various vocalists appear on a back screen including David Sylvian, Tina Elsenburg and Anja Garbarek. Life- Fluid, Invisible, Inaudble is an istallation by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Shiro Takatani, which was exhibited in Yamaguchi and ICC in 2007. The exhibition was captured on video, recomposed into a new video work and turned into a DVD. The work surrounds the viewer with stereo images and split screen video to create an installation space that reinterprets the original work into a new audio-visual experience.

2007 was one of Haruomi Hosono's busiest years yet, with his own album, various collaborations, contributions to soundtracks, and guest appearances. There was also an excellent tribute to Hosono with a second volume appearing early in 2008. This is a DVD of the concert by some of those artists who performed on those tribute albums. The concert took place in July 2007 at the Hibiya Park outdoor stage, and lasted for over four hours. Those artists include Ryuichi Sakamoto, Yukihiro Takahashi, Van Dyke Parks, Keigo Oyamada (Cornelius) Takako Minekawa, Kahimi Karie, Jim O'Rourke, Miharu Koshi, World Standard, Hiroshi Takano, Sakerock, Miyuki Hatakeyama, Mitsuko Koike, Saho Terao, Bophana, Akihito Katayori, Vagabond and others. In 2001 Haruomi Hosono hosted a TV programme on NHK BS2, called the Haruomi Hosono Yellow Magic Show. On the programme Hosono invited a lot of his musician friends, the so-called 'Hosono family' to perform, although it was a music variety programme with a talk and comedy element as well. This was the first time that the members of Yellow Magic Orchestra, Hosono plus Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi had appeared together since 1993. Other musicians who appeared are Takashi Matsumoto and Shigeru Suzuki (from Happy End) Tateo Hayashi (from Tin Pan) Tei Towa, Morio Agata, Miharu Koshi, Kiyoshiro Imawano, Sheena & The Rokkets, Chu Kohsaka, Kazuyoshi Nakamura, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Hiroshi Takano, plus a few actors for those comedy sketches. A welcome release onto DVD of what had been rare footage.

It's thirty years since Moonriders were formed by Keiichi Suzuki. Suzuki had been one of Hachimitsu Pie that also featured Haruomi Hosono (Happy End, YMO) and Morio Agata who went onto a successful solo career. Suzuki also collaborated with Yukihiro Takahashi in the Beatniks. However, Moonriders never achieved the recognition at home or abroad of their peers, but have been recognized in more recent years for their enormous influence and innovative music. From folk rock beginnings they experimented with technopop and ethnic sounds. To commemorate this 30th anniversary this is a 3 DVD set. DVD1 is a documentary film about Moonriders, Passion Maniacs. DVD2 is of their live performances, some previously unseen -13 tracks. DVD3 Full versions of live performances seen in the documentary - 7 tracks.

Yukihiro Takahashi is best known as one of the trio (together with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Haruomi Hosono) of seminal technopop group Yellow Magic Orchestra. Before that he was a member of the Sadistic Mika Band, while currently he is together with Hosono again as Sketch Show. After YMO disbanded, Takahashi went solo and this DVD is of a live performance from this time, in August 1983 at Shibuya Kokaido in Tokyo. Ganga Zumba is the group formed by Kazufumi Miyazawa (also of the Boom and a solo musician) who is particularly influenced by Brazlian music. Miyazawa has been performing live in Japan at events called Yorimichi where he sang his own songs (some of them old Boom favourites) a few covers and did some poetry readings. This CD was previously only sold from his own website and and at the live venues, but now gets an official release.10 tracks plus some poetry readings + DVD with live footage. Tracks include Chu-o Sen, Hoshi no Love Letter, Toi Machi de, Shiroi Hamanasu, Okinawa ni Furu Yuki, Subarashii Hibi, Kono Hiroi Sekaide, Hikari, Shimauta, Rakuen and Mijika na Shi.

After the singer Donto died, over 2000 fans got together and signed a petition to get some of the live footage with his group Bo Gumbos released onto DVD. This is rare footage from the 1989 'Uchu Sound' tour and tracks from the album 'Walkin' to New Orleans' including a session with the great Bo Diddley.

Live at Tokyo Yoyogi Pit Inn in 1990, and featuring two blues musicians Fujio Yamaguchi and Fumio Ishikawa live from the beach stage in Izu in 1991.

This is thought of as some of the most exciting live footage of Bo Gumbos ever, at Kyoto University in 1992 and doing soul & rock'roll covers live at Roppongi Pit Inn in 1993.

The final concert, live from Tokyo's Hibiya Park outdoor stage in June 1995. 160 minutes.

Also features footage of Sandii recording with top Japanese / Hawaiian musician, Herb Ohta.

On this DVD Sandii sings and performs kahiko (classic hula) with the Kumu Hula (hula master). Includes a cover version of much missed Japanese musician Dont's, 'Nami'. Elsewhere it's more traditional fare with 'O Pele Ke Kumu O Kahiki Ke', 'Aiya La O Pele', 'Hiki Mai-O Lana Kila', 'He Mele No Haena', 'Pua Kea' and 'Pua Mae Oi' 'Nami'.
