Mizu no Hentai - Michio Miyagi Collection

Tomoko Sunazaki is a leading player of the Miyagi ryu (school), and founder of the Koto Trio. On this CD she plays the music of the founder of her school Michio Miyagi, born in 1894 who became one of the greats of koto composition and leader of the new Japanese music scene of the early 1920s. The opening piece on this album, Mizu no Hentai, was his first compostion, composed in 1909 when he was 14.
