Toshiko Yonekawa is one of the most famous names in the koto world. Kino Yonekawa was the first player of the Ikuta school, his daughter Toshiko, born in 1913 became a Living National Treasure. In 2007 Toshiko's daughter succeeded her mother and took on her name to futher spread the word of the koto.
