From Kyoto, Chikako Kanehisa began studying koto from the age of eight. She learnt from both Tadao and Kazue Sawai, and also from shakuhachi Living National Treaure Hozan Yamamoto who died in February 2014. This album features Kanehisa's koto in duo performances with Hozan Yamamoto on shakuhachi.
