Kokohana are two female 25 stringed koto players, Nanae and Migiwa. The koto is traditionally a 13 stringed instrument, and Kokohana believe the 25 strings adds extra expression and potential to play a wide range of music. On this album they perform tunes from the famous Studiio Ghibli animated films, accompanied by piano, strings, bass and a rhythm section.
