New title. Suar Agung are Bali's premier jegog or bamboo gamelan orchestra. The bamboo used to make the jegog is the world's thickest and largest species. Joged Bumbung is an improvised dance to the accompaniment of bamboo harp. Until 1940 this dance was performed exclusively for the royal family, until Suar Agung's founder, I Ketut Suwentra, developed a new style. Recorded in 1990.
