Hideki Matsutake is a composer, arranger, producer, synthesizer programmer and mixer who started his music career as an assistant of Isamu Tomita to create music by using the Moog Synthesizer which was unusual at that time. He became a pioneer of Moog Synthesizer and joined Akiko Yano's album 'Tokimeki' in 1978 and then joined Ryuichi Sakamoto's first solo album. That lead him to participate in YMO's albums as a sound programmer from 1978 until 1982. Joined YMO's world tour and during which he used a bank of synthesizers and he was called 'YMO's 4th member'. Formed his own unit Logicsystem in 1981 and has released 10 albums so far. This is his new album and he is also starting new label 'Motion +-' focusing on electronic and synthesizer music. This is limited edition release featuring DJ Harvey, Dub Master X, Saito 'JxJx' Jun and 80 Kidz.

Compilation from the technopop group to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Formed by the Shizuoka pair of Takkyu Ishino and Pierre Taki, Denki Groove were originally influenced by Kraftwerk and YMO. Paul Mauriat was a French orchestra leader, known for a light orchestral easy listening style. Before he died in 2006 he was something of a cult figure in Japan, even giving his final performance there. Takkyu Ishino is one of Japan's leading dj's, who came to prominence as one half of techno pioneers Denki Groove. Since then he has developed his sound into a minimal cutting edge electronic blend and he is also behind the WIRE rave in Tokyo that invites dj's from around the world. He has gained an enviable reputation in Europe, working with local artists and performing at European festivals and events. On this album, Ishino remixes classic material of Paul Mauriat into something completely different, but decidedly cool.

Kaoru Inoue (Chari Chari) is a producer, musician and dj. His music normally has strong east Asian flavors to it, from Bali and elsewhere, with funky rhythms. In Europe Calm has been championed by the likes of Giles Peterson, Rainer Truby, Ross Allen and Patrick Forge and in the US by the San Francisco record label, Ubiquity. His music, variously described as nu-jazz, or chilled hip hop, usually contains Latin American or East Asian elements, and has developed his own trademark sound. Excelent solo album.
